Afghan is made
from four separate squares
BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE.
AFGHAN Ch 19. Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across – 18 sts. Row 1 Ch 1, turn, sc in each sc across. Repeat Row 1 until piece measures 6 inches. Fasten off. | ASSEMBLY Sew together invisibly as per assembly diagram: | | To join two pieces together, thread a large-eyed blunt needle with B. Place the edges of the squares side by side with the right sides (the sides that people will see) FACING OUT.
| | | From the right side, stitch up the sides as shown, alternating one square to the other. | | | OUTSIDE BORDER: Rnd 1 With RS facing, join C in any corner of afghan, *work 3 sc in corner, sc evenly across side to next corner, repeat from *, end with slip st to join in top of first sc. Repeat last rnd 5 more times, fasten off. Weave in ends. | |
